Local veterans join forces to thank truckers for “American patriotism”

The Fort Morgan (Colo.) Times (April 12, 2020) — Tractor-trailer drivers shipping product to market in the Front Range and east toward the Nebraska state line on Interstate 76 were greeted Saturday in Fort Morgan by a number of military veterans wishing to express their support for over-the-road haulers. The idea stemmed from Jim Carr, a Patriot Guard rider, who as of Saturday had spent the past 15 days on an overpass west of Limon showing his support for drivers in the trucking industry ensuring supply chain stabilization during the COVID-19 outbreak. Brian Porter tells the feel-good story.
